Colas Industry — the Colas Soap & Detergent Factory — is one of the country’s leading industrial manufacturing enterprises, specialising in high-quality laundry soaps, personal care soaps and detergent products.
We run advanced manufacturing technology so that our products stay competitive on both quality and value — the two things that actually matter at the market stall. Alongside finished soap we produce high-grade raw soap noodles for other manufacturers, and we import essential commodities and commercial raw materials to keep supply steady across the nation.

Inside the factory
From noodle to carton.
Colas is unusual in making both ends of the chain — the raw soap noodles other manufacturers buy, and the finished bar that reaches the shelf.

Soap noodles
The base material is produced to grade in-house. It is the same stock we sell to other soap producers.

Mixing & perfuming
Colour and fragrance are blended into the batch. This is where a KK becomes a KK and a SKOR becomes a SKOR.

Milling & plodding
The mix is milled and extruded into a continuous bar — the step that decides how long the finished soap will last in water.

Cutting & stamping
Bars are cut to weight and stamped with the embossed brand mark that makes a genuine Colas bar easy to recognise.

Green Legacy
የአረንጓዴ አሻራ — our hands in the soil.
On 29 July 2019, Ethiopia planted more than 350 million seedlings in a single day. Colas closed the factory floor and went out with the rest of the country.
Our team travelled to Chancho, north of Addis Ababa, under a banner reading “imala gara misooma magariisaatti” — the journey toward green development. It has stayed part of how we work since.
